The struggle for Crimea continues every day
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy He emphasised that the struggle to end the occupation of Crimea continues on a daily basis. According to him, Russia has turned the occupied peninsula into a military base from which it not only carries out acts of aggression against Ukraine, but also projects its power across the Black Sea region.
«Today, no one in the world would say that we are not fighting for Crimea or that we have forgotten about Crimea. Every day proves that Ukraine remembers every part of itself, every one of its people, and is truly fighting for justice for our entire state and every one of its integral parts,» said Zelenskyy.
The President emphasised that Ukraine is not only conducting diplomatic negotiations but is also taking systematic measures to reduce Russia’s military presence on the peninsula. Crimea has become an important base for the Russian military, which regularly launches missiles and drones from its territory.
«Ukraine is consistently depriving Russia of the ability to use Crimea as a secure rear base for military operations,» Zelenskyy emphasised.
This struggle is important not only for restoring Ukraine’s territorial integrity, but also for reducing the Russian Federation’s military capabilities. Crimea remains a strategically important region, and any weakening of Russia’s military infrastructure on the peninsula will affect logistics and the ability to conduct military operations in the south.
