In Sumy, following yet another Russian attack 13 civilians were injured, including two children. According to preliminary reports, the strike caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure. A five-storey residential block, private homes and local residents’ cars were damaged.
Rescue workers are operating at several locations
From the very first moments after the shelling, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were deployed to deal with the aftermath. Staff from the State Emergency Service, together with police officers and medical personnel, are working simultaneously at several impact sites, evacuating people from damaged buildings, providing assistance to the injured and surveying the area.
Medical staff are providing the necessary assistance to all those injured. Details of the victims’ condition are being clarified. Emergency services are continuing to deal with the aftermath of the attack and are assessing the damage to civilian infrastructure.
