Zelenskyy calls on Belarus to take action

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy In an interview with TSN, he stated that Belarus must move from words to concrete actions if it wishes to prove its non-involvement in Russia’s war against Ukraine. The head of state emphasised that one such step should be dismantling of repeaters, which are used to support Russian drones.

Zelenskyy noted that Minsk can no longer confine itself to mere declarations of neutrality. The cessation of technical support for Russian strikes on Ukraine must serve as tangible proof of this stance.

“Let him keep his “I’m sorry” to himself,” he emphasised, commenting on Alexander Lukashenko’s stance.

The Head of State emphasised that if the relay stations supporting Russian drone flights are not dismantled, Ukraine may take measures to remove them itself. “The issue must be resolved in the near future,” added Zelenskyy.

Navrotsky’s gift and political manoeuvring

During the interview, Zelenskyy also commented on his first meeting with the President of Poland Karol Nawrocki, who presented the Ukrainian leader with a book on the Volhynia tragedy. The Head of State noted that he had not made this a matter of public debate and did not consider it necessary to stir up further political debate on the subject.

“I didn’t say anything about it, and I didn’t hold a press conference. I’m fine with it. Why are you doing this? This is a political struggle that could end in a very serious escalation,” he said.

Zelenskyy highlighted the need to maintain constructive relations between Kyiv and Warsaw, despite complex historical issues.

“I am Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Not Prince Volodymyr. And Karol is not his title, but his name,” the president emphasised, calling for an end to political manipulation.

He also emphasised that Ukraine is currently defending not only its own independence, but also the security of the whole of Europe, including Poland.
