At night, a Russian drone hit a residential building in the village of Velykyi Burluk, Kharkiv region. As a result of the attack, a 79-year-old woman was injured, who was in her home at the time of the explosion.
The victim was promptly provided with the necessary medical care. SES medics worked at the scene of the incident together with rescuers and a community rescue officer.
Fire and response to the aftermath
The drone explosion caused a fire in an outbuilding covering an area of 100 square metres. The fire also damaged a residential building and a summer kitchen.
The SES rescuers quickly extinguished the fire, despite the threat of repeated shelling by Russian forces. Their actions prevented the fire from spreading further and reduced the damage to local residents.
Work of emergency services
Not only rescuers, but also SES medics and a community rescue officer worked at the scene. All services acted in a coordinated manner to assist the victim and eliminate the consequences of the attack.
The situation in Kharkiv region remains tense due to constant drone attacks and shelling.
