A Russian drone attacked the central park in the village of Nova Vodolaha in the Kharkiv district. Six people were killed, including three children; a further 15 people were injured. A drone struck a park where families with children were gathered
The attack took place in the village’s central park. According to the Minister of the Interior Ivan Vygovsky, there were many people there at the time of the strike, including families with children. Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office had previously reported that Russian troops had deployed a drone of the «Geranium-3».
Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov He also reported damage to a café. He stated that the strike had been carried out during the day at a leisure park. Vyhovsky described the attack as a strike against civilians.
Initial reports from the authorities suggested a lower death toll, but the regional administration later revised the figures regarding the consequences of the attack. The death toll rose to six, including three children.
Seven children are among the injured; all are receiving treatment
Seven of the 15 people injured in the attack are children. Medical staff are treating all those affected, Sinyegubov said. Some of the injured are being taken to the regional centre.
The wounded are being transported to hospitals in Kharkiv, in particular by emergency medical teams.
According to the regional governor, one of the women who died was around 25 years old.
