President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine is preparing for meetings with representatives of US President Donald Trump. The American side has already confirmed forthcoming meetings in both Kyiv and Moscow. Preliminary dates have been set, and the meeting in the Ukrainian capital is expected to take place in the coming days.
Zelenskyy held a meeting on negotiations with the US
On 3 September, the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on a meeting with the Ukrainian team responsible for negotiations with representatives of the US President.
According to the Head of State, contacts between the parties are taking place virtually round the clock, and direct preparations for further meetings are currently under way.
Zelenskyy noted that there is already previous dates, although specific figures are not being disclosed at this stage.
Trump’s representatives will travel to both Moscow and Kyiv
Ukraine has already received confirmation from the US side that representatives Donald Trump They will hold meetings in both Moscow and Kyiv.
The President emphasised that he looks forward to welcoming the US delegation to the Ukrainian capital in the coming days.
«We are looking forward to a meeting in the coming days,» said Zelenskyy.

Ukraine wants the US to continue to play an active role
Zelenskyy specifically emphasised the importance of the United States’ continued active participation in diplomatic efforts to bring the war to an end.
According to him, the Ukrainian side is ready for substantive talks with representatives from Washington in Kyiv and expects these discussions to yield concrete results in the coming days.
Zelenskyy had previously reported that contacts from Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who are representing Donald Trump in the negotiations concerning the Russian-Ukrainian war. The President has also already spoken about preparations for their possible visits to Russia and Ukraine.

At present, the Ukrainian side has not disclosed either the exact dates of the talks or the composition of the US delegation.
