Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced an agreement with Armenia on long-term cooperation. He also met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, stressing the importance of dialogue between the countries.
Cooperation with Armenia
According to the President, Kyiv and Yerevan have agreed on areas of further cooperation, which provide for long-term cooperation between the countries. The details of the agreements have not yet been disclosed, but they include the expansion of partnership at various levels.
Negotiations with Georgia
Also on this day Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakliyem Kobakhidze. During the talks, the parties discussed existing issues in bilateral relations.
The President of Ukraine stressed the importance of constant dialogue between the states:
«There are open issues between the states. It is important that there is a dialogue at all levels. Ukraine has always respected Georgia, its sovereignty and people.».
According to him, the parties agreed to continue cooperation and work on resolving pressing issues.
Context of the meetings
Zelenskyy's meeting with the Georgian prime minister took place in the context of the complex geopolitical situation in the region. Analysts point out that such talks are important for strengthening the position of Ukraine and its partners against the backdrop of Russia's influence.
In fact, contacts at the highest level demonstrate Kyiv's intention to intensify diplomatic ties in the region, including the Caucasus.
