The police announced the liquidation of the Khimprom criminal group. The criminals were involved in drug trafficking, fraud and selling products through U420 drug shops.
Details of the police operation
According to the National Police, a large-scale special operation against the Khimprom criminal group was conducted today. Law enforcement officers conducted 300 searches and seized drugs and other products worth over UAH 75 million.
The group organised the sale of drugs through darknet and Telegram channels. It is known that drug shops under the brand U420 were one of the main sales channels.
The scheme of criminals' activities
«Khimprom built a complex scheme by dividing its business into 145 individual entrepreneurs (IEs). To do this, they recruited citizens from disadvantaged backgrounds to act as facilitators in illegal transactions.
Through this network, the criminals concealed the real organisers and ensured the continuous sale of drugs and fraudulent activities.
The role of U420 drug stores
According to the police, U420 drug shops are a project of this group. It was through these online stores that the main drug sales were carried out using anonymous communication channels.
