Pros. information According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 207 combat engagements were recorded on the front line on 17 June. The enemy carried out 54 air strikes, dropping 173 guided bombs. Over 6,035 kamikaze drones were used to attack Ukrainian positions, and 2,088 shelling attacks were carried out on populated areas and military installations.
Enemy activity along the following axes
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, 60 shelling incidents were recorded, including three involving multiple launch rocket systems. In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, the enemy carried out seven assaults in the areas of Lyman, Vovchansk and near Pokalyane and Izbytske.
In the Kupiansk sector, the occupiers launched five attacks on positions in the vicinity of Novoplatonivka and Kurylivka. The Lyman front faced 14 attempts by the enemy to advance in the areas of Derylove, Zarichne, Novomykhailivka, Novoselivka, Drobyshove, Ozerny, Shyikivka, Lyman and Dibrova.
Repelling attacks on other fronts
In the Sloviansk sector, the Defence Forces repelled 11 attacks in the directions of Rai-Oleksandrivka, Kryva Luka and Zakytne. The Kramatorsk sector remained free of enemy offensive operations. The Kostiantynivka sector came under 15 assaults, two of which are still ongoing.
The Pokrovsk sector came under 24 attacks, with the occupiers attempting to advance in the vicinity of Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Rodynske and other settlements. Here, 44 invaders were killed and 15 wounded, whilst ammunition depots, drone control centres, and enemy vehicles and specialist equipment were destroyed.
The situation on the southern and eastern fronts
On the Oleksandrivka front, two attacks were repelled near Oleksandrohrad and Verbove. The Huliaipole sector has come under 23 attacks, with two firefights ongoing. In the Orikhiv sector, three enemy attempts to advance have been halted near Mala Tokmachka. There have been no enemy offensive operations in the Dnipro sector.
Overall assessment of combat operations
The intensity of the fighting indicates that the enemy is actively deploying aircraft, drones and artillery. Ukrainian defenders are repelling numerous attacks on key fronts, destroying enemy personnel and equipment. The situation remains tense but under the control of the Defence Forces.
