Russian forces attacked the Kyiv region with strike drones for almost the entire day. According to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the air raid alert in the region was effectively in place almost continuously. As a result of the attacks, nine civilian facilities in four districts of the region were damaged — with warehouses bearing the brunt of the damage.

Nine civilian sites have been damaged in four districts
The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported on the consequences of the prolonged attack on the morning of 19 September Timur Tkachenko.
According to him in words, the damage was recorded immediately in four districts of the Kyiv region. Three civilian sites were damaged in the Obukhiv district, one in the Vyshhorod district, two in the Boryspil district and three in the Bucha district.
Consequently, a total of nine civilian infrastructure facilities have been damaged as a result of the Russian attacks.
The storage facilities were the worst affected
The bulk of the damage was concentrated in warehouse infrastructure. According to the Regional State Administration, Five storage facilities have been damaged. In addition, damage was reported to industrial and garage premises, vehicles and a block of flats.
A photograph released by the Kyiv Regional State Emergency Service shows rescue workers at work inside one of the damaged buildings. Emergency services personnel were clearing up the aftermath of the attack and working at the sites where fires and damage had occurred.
The air raid sirens hardly ever stopped
According to Tkachenko, Russian attack drones entered the airspace of the Kyiv region on several occasions over the past 24 hours. The air-raid alert effectively lasted almost without interruption, as a result of which residents of various parts of the region remained under the threat of further attacks for a long time.
The Regional Military Administration emphasised that the latest attacks have once again targeted civilian infrastructure — warehouses, industrial facilities and residential buildings.
Residents are urged not to ignore the alarm
The Kyiv Regional State Administration has urged residents of the region to respond to air-raid sirens and, in the event of a threat, to take shelter or seek refuge in other safe places.
As the flight paths of attack drones are constantly changing, the danger may arise in several areas of the region at once; the authorities therefore ask the public to keep an eye on official announcements.
