Russia has attacked Kropyvnytskyi with jet-powered drones: one person has been injured

On the night of 4 September, Russian forces attacked Kropyvnytskyi with drones. Strikes were recorded at three locations. In one instance, the roof of a nine-storey residential block caught fire; one person was injured and taken to hospital. Fires also broke out at an infrastructure site and in an open area. Emergency services have now extinguished all the fires.

A drone crashed into a nine-storey building

The Russian attack on Kropyvnytskyi took place on the evening of 3 September and during the night of 3–4 September. According to the head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration Andriy Raikovich, the city was attacked by jet-powered drones.

One of the hits occurred on multi-storey residential building. The impact caused the roof of the nine-storey building to catch fire.

One person was injured. The injured person was taken to hospital, where they are receiving the necessary treatment.

Footage released by the State Emergency Service shows damage to the upper part of the building following the attack.

Strikes were recorded at two further locations

Overall, the effects of the attack were observed across the city at three different locations.

In addition to the nine-storey residential block, a fire broke out on the premises of an infrastructure facility. According to the regional authorities, one of the strikes also hit the premises of a business, where the roof was damaged and caught fire.

At the third location, dry vegetation caught fire. A farm building was also damaged.

Rescue workers were at all the impact sites. As of this morning All the fires have been put out.

The city is beginning to record the damage

Andriy Raikovych announced that a special commission is due to begin work on the morning of 4 September to document the consequences of the Russian attack and the damage caused to the city.

Following an inspection of the damaged properties, the local authorities are to begin clearing up the damage.
