Massive Russian attack on Kyiv region: houses and warehouses damaged

Rescuers have eliminated the consequences of a massive Russian attack in the Kyiv region. The attack damaged residential buildings, outbuildings and warehouses in several districts. The fires and destruction were extinguished by the State Emergency Service.

Basic context

Another Russian attack in the Kyiv region resulted in numerous damages to residential buildings, warehouses and commercial premises, as well as fires in several districts of the region. The units State Emergency Service of Ukraine worked promptly at the scene.

In the Bila Tserkva district a fire broke out in a garage co-operative in the city of Bila Tserkva, where three garages were on fire. Rescuers extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading.

In Brovary district, In the village of Pukhivka, the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) fell on an open area. There were no injuries or casualties.

Damage to housing and infrastructure

In Vyshgorod district In Vyshgorod, a multi-storey residential building was hit. Rescuers and special equipment from the State Emergency Service were deployed to eliminate the consequences.

Fastiv district was damaged in several settlements. A two-storey apartment building was damaged in the village of Novosilky, and a private house was damaged in the village of Tarasivka. In the village of Vita-Poshtova, a fire broke out in two private residential buildings. A private house was also damaged in the village of Nove.

In Bucha district a logistics centre was damaged in the village of Gorenka and a warehouse in the village of Bilohorodka. In the town of Vyshneve, a multi-storey residential building was damaged, and the fire was contained and extinguished over an area of 100 square metres. In the village of Kryukivshchyna, an apartment building was also damaged, and the SES and local fire brigades were involved in the response.

In Boryspil district a private sauna was damaged in the city of Boryspil as a result of the attack. No fire was found upon arrival of rescuers.

Impact of the attack on security and living conditions in the region

Massive strikes on the residential sector and infrastructure of the Kyiv region pose a threat to the safety of local residents and lead to the destruction of homes and commercial facilities. Rescuers continue to work on the aftermath to help minimise damage and restore normal functioning of the communities.

The events demonstrate the complexity of the situation in the region, where civilian objects are under constant threat. The timely response of the SES units is critical to saving lives and reducing material losses. Both state and local fire brigades are continuing to eliminate the fires and damage.
