In the Zhytomyr region, damage to critical infrastructure and private businesses has been reported following yet another Russian attack. The effects of the strikes were observed in three districts of the region at once — Korosten, Zhytomyr and Zviahel. Fires broke out at several locations, including four cars that were set alight.
The effects were recorded in three districts
Russian strikes caused damage to Korosten, Zhytomyr and Zvyagel districts. Critical infrastructure sites, as well as the premises of private companies, were targeted. Fires broke out at several locations following the attacks. Emergency services worked at the sites of the strikes and extinguished the fires. In addition to the damaged buildings and infrastructure, as a result of the attack Four cars caught fire. All the fires were successfully extinguished.
The areas were checked by bomb disposal experts
Once the fire had been extinguished, specialists surveyed the areas that had been hit. Particular attention was paid to searching for ammunition fragments and other explosive objects that might have been left behind after the attack. Such work is carried out to ensure the safety of residents and business staff before people return to the damaged areas.
Psychologists from the State Emergency Service helped local residents
Psychologists from the State Emergency Service were also called in to deal with the aftermath of the attack. The specialists provided psychological support to local residents who were near the sites of the strikes and were suffering from stress caused by the explosions and fires. Work to assess the damage and survey the affected areas is continuing.
