In Kremenchuk, part of the courtyard of a high-rise block was destroyed following an explosion

On the night of 7 October, Russia attacked Kremenchuk with ballistic missiles. At around 03:30, a series of explosions was heard in the city — prior to this, the Air Force had warned of ballistic missiles heading directly towards Kremenchuk. According to preliminary information from local sources, one of the missiles may have struck the courtyard of a block of flats, damaging one of the entrance halls.

An air raid alert was issued in the Kremenchuk community at around 03:10.

Shortly before the explosions, the Air Force reported a ballistic threat and the movement of missiles towards Kremenchuk. At approximately 03:31–03:35, local journalists and residents reported explosions in the city.

At the time the first reports emerged, the city and regional authorities had not released any detailed information regarding the locations of the strikes.

Damage has been reported near a high-rise block

According to preliminary reports circulating on local news channels, one of the missiles may have fallen in the courtyard of a residential block of flats.

There are also reports of damage to one of the building’s entrances and significant destruction around the building. Footage released shows smashed windows, damaged cars, debris from building structures and a crater in the residential area.

One person was injured in the Kremenchuk district

The Kremenchuk District Military Administration reported that Russia carried out a massive combined attack on the Poltava region during the night.

The following cases were recorded in the Kremenchuk district direct hits and falling debris energy infrastructure facilities and open areas. According to the RVA, one person sustained moderate injuries. Kremenchuk District State Administration

The authorities have not specified whether this injury is specifically linked to a possible strike near a high-rise building in Kremenchuk.

Rescue workers and other emergency services are at the scenes of the incidents.

Details of the consequences are being clarified

As of this morning, the exact type of missile, its point of impact and the extent of the damage have not been officially disclosed.
