The Unmanned Systems Forces stated that during the first week of September they successfully struck 34 energy facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as in the occupied parts of the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. The command’s report lists the Luhansk Thermal Power Station, electrical and traction substations, and gas infrastructure facilities among the targets.

Commander of the SSF Robert Brovdi In the report, as at 9 September, 374 energy hubs were identified where Ukrainian drones had carried out successful operations as part of the operation. The report specifies that the operation ran from 6 July to 9 September 2026.
The preliminary figures for August showed that 349 power substations had been affected.
Thermal power stations, high-voltage substations and railway substations are among the targets
One of the largest targets identified was the Luhansk Thermal Power Station in Shchastya. Also SBS Reports have emerged of strikes on the 330 kV «Pershokostyantynivka» substation in the occupied Kherson region and the 330 kV «Mykhailivska» substation near Sokolohirsk in the Luhansk region.
In the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region, the report mentions the 150 kV «ZRK» substation in Mala Bilozerka and the «Sokolihorna» traction substation in the Rozyvka area. In the Kherson region, the «Henichesk» and «Morska» substations in Skadovsk are named.
In the Donetsk region, according to the SBS, the «DHMZ-2», «Pavlopil», «Novotroitska» and «Novoazovska», as well as the «Volnovakha-Tiahova», «Karan», «Olenivka Tiahova» and «Kalchik-Tiahova» traction substations. The report also mentions facilities in Rybynske and Kuteynikove, as well as electrical substations in Luhansk, Butove, Krasnyi Kut and Travneve.
Crimea has reported strikes on ten gas distribution stations
In Crimea, the SBS reported on successful work on the «Nizhnegorsk», «Natasha», «Yevpatoria», «Veresayevo», «Dibrivka», «Geroyske», «Pervomayske», «Kolosky», «Azovske» and «Nizhnegorsk».
The report specifically mentions repeated attacks on the «Henichesk» and «Mykhailivka» substations. This may indicate that these facilities remained important or had resumed operations following previous attacks.
Units from the State Security Service and the State Border Guard Service were deployed for the operation
The SBS named the following as participants in the operation: the 1st Independent SBS Centre and the 414th Independent Brigade «The Birds of Magyar», the 412th «Nemesis» Brigade, the 20th «K-2» Brigade, the 413th «Raid» Regiment, the "Phoenix" unit of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and the 427th "Rarog" Brigade. The report also states that mobile fire groups belonging to Russian forces have been neutralised.
The operation is targeting energy infrastructure and related facilities in the occupied territories. At the end of August, Brovdi reported that such strikes had been extended to eastern Ukraine, specifically the Luhansk region.
