Injured following mortar fire and drone strikes
In the Seredino-Budsk community, mortar fire injured women aged 64, 60 and 48, as well as a 38-year-old man. In the Shostka community, a 61-year-old woman was injured following a strike by a Russian drone, whilst in the Lebedyn community, a 62-year-old man was injured after being hit by a drone.
In the Hlukhiv community, an 81-year-old man was injured when his motorised cultivator struck an explosive device. According to police reports, Russian forces shelled 19 settlements in the region over the past 24 hours. They used guided aerial bombs, attack drones, FPV drones, artillery and mortars.
The police are gathering evidence of war crimes
Investigative and operational teams were working at the sites of the strikes, documenting the consequences of the attacks. Investigators have opened criminal proceedings in respect of each incident under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — «War crimes».
The opening of such proceedings marks the start of a pre-trial investigation and the gathering of evidence, rather than a judicial determination of the specific perpetrators. Law enforcement agencies are continuing to document the consequences of the Russian attacks in order to bring those responsible to justice.
