Strikes on Russian oil depots: General Staff reveals details

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that four Russian oil refinery facilities had been hit. Large-scale fires have been reported on the ground, as well as enemy losses in fuel stocks in the temporarily occupied territories.

Damage to Russian refineries

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that four important facilities of the Russian oil refining industry were hit. Among them are the Novokuibyshevsk and Syzran refineries in the Samara region. Both facilities are key to the region's fuel supply.

At the sites of the damage there were large-scale fires. Information on the extent of the destruction and possible victims is currently being clarified. The Russian side has not officially commented on these incidents.

Oil terminal and pumping station under attack

The affected facilities also include the RPK-Vysotsk-Lukoil-2 oil terminal in the Leningrad region. This terminal is an important logistics hub for the transportation of oil products in the northwestern region of Russia.

In addition, the Tikhoretsk oil pumping station in the Krasnodar Territory was hit. Details on the impact of the strike have not yet been disclosed. Only large-scale fires at the facilities are known.

Enemy losses in the occupied territories

According to the General Staff, the strikes also targeted fuel and lubricant storage facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, damage was recorded in the Mariupol area. The extent of fuel losses is being clarified.
