US President Donald Trump announced the postponement of a military offensive against Iran. The reason was serious disagreements in the Iranian government and the Pakistani leadership's appeal to maintain the ceasefire.

Postponement of the offensive

President Donald Trump announced that the United States was suspending its military offensive against Iran. This decision was made in response to a request from Field Marshal Asima Munira and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Sharif's Shekhbaz.

According to Trump, US troops remain on alert, but actions are limited to the blockade and waiting for further decisions.

Reasons for suspension

The main reason for this step was a serious split in the Iranian government. According to him, Iranian leaders and representatives have not yet been able to come up with a unified proposal to resolve the situation. The US agreed to give Iran additional time to form a consolidated position.

Pakistan's role

Field Marshal Asim Munir and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appealed to the United States to suspend the offensive. They mediated the negotiations, emphasising the need to avoid escalations to reach a common position among Iranian leaders.

Further US actions

Trump stressed that the blockade of Iran continues, and US military remain in full combat readiness. The ceasefire will be maintained until the Iranian side submits an agreed proposal and the negotiations reach a certain result.
