Signing a security agreement
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the signing of a security agreement between Ukraine and Bulgaria. The document is designed to last at least 10 years and establishes the status of allies between the countries.
The agreement was the result of a meeting between the Ukrainian side and the Bulgarian delegation. Zelenskyy stressed the strategic importance of the agreements for both countries.
Joint production of weapons
An important element of the agreement is the launch of joint arms production in Ukraine. The production includes various types of weapons, including drones.
Bulgaria will use the programme SAFE to organise co-production with Ukrainian enterprises. This should strengthen Ukraine's defence capabilities and promote the development of the military-industrial complex.
