Donald Trump In another interview, he sharply criticised the administration's policy Joe Biden on his support for Ukraine, calling him a «fool president» and accusing him of inefficient use of American resources.
Trump: US should not have intervened in Ukraine
US President Donald Trump has once again criticised former President Joe Biden over his large-scale financial and military support for Ukraine in the war against Russia. According to Trump, the United States should not have intervened in a conflict that is taking place thousands of miles away, on the other side of the ocean.
«We should not have interfered in Ukraine, which is thousands of miles away, across the ocean. We had a stupid president,» Trump said.
He also criticised the amount of aid provided by the Biden administration: «Biden gave them $350 billion. He got nothing for it. He gave them so much money, spent so much ammunition. We now produce ammunition everywhere because we need it, because he gave so much to Ukraine.».
Reduction of US arms stockpiles
Trump stressed that this forced the United States to increase the production of ammunition, as its own stockpiles had been significantly reduced. He also questioned the effectiveness of such a policy, stressing that the Americans have not received any benefits or guarantees in return for the large-scale assistance.
These statements come amid preparations for the US presidential election, where support for Ukraine remains a key foreign policy issue.
