Margus Tsakhkna stressed that the Ukrainian army is currently the strongest and most experienced in the region. He stressed that Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO would guarantee security for the whole of Europe, and that the «grey zone» only facilitates Russian aggression.
The EU sees Ukraine as a security guarantor
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsakhkna said that The European Union needs security guarantees from Ukraine because of its powerful and experienced army. According to him, Ukraine has already proven its ability to defend not only itself but also the interests of the whole of Europe.
Ukraine is a key partner for Europe
Tsakhkna emphasised that the Ukrainian army is the largest and strongest in the region, which makes Ukraine a strategic partner for the EU. He called for Ukraine to be seen not as a «grey zone» but as a full-fledged member of the European security system.
Joining the EU and NATO is a guarantee of peace
According to the Estonian Foreign Minister, Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO will guarantee security for the whole of Europe. He stressed that the absence of a clear European perspective for Ukraine only gives Russia the opportunity to continue its aggression.
