On the night of 20 April, Russian troops launched a drone attack on the village of Velykyi Burluk, located in the Kharkiv region. A direct hit was recorded on a three-apartment residential building.
As a result of the attack, a large-scale fire broke out in the building, which reached 200 square metres. According to official reports, three local residents were injured.
The work of the SES rescuers
After the attack, rescuers from the State Emergency Service arrived at the scene promptly. They worked in difficult conditions, as there was a threat of repeated attacks on the area.
The rescuers managed to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighbouring houses. SES medics also provided the necessary assistance to all the victims.

In recent weeks, Kharkiv region has been under constant shelling by Russian troops. The incident in Velykyi Burluk is yet another example of targeted attacks on civilian infrastructure.

Consequences of the attack and assistance to the victims
According to preliminary reports, three residents were injured in the night shelling and were provided with the necessary medical care on the spot. The fire was extinguished, and the spread of the fire to other houses was prevented thanks to the quick actions of the rescuers.
