On the night of 20 April 2026, the Dnipro region came under massive Russian attacks. The shelling injured six people and damaged residential buildings, businesses and infrastructure in several towns and communities.
Injured and hospitalised
Five people were wounded during the night and evening shelling of Nikopol district. Three of them were hospitalised, and one of the injured was taken to hospital by the State Emergency Service.
Another man was injured in Kryvyi Rih. All the injured are receiving medical assistance. The condition of the wounded is not yet known.
Destruction in Nikopol district
In the district centre and four communities of Nikopol district, damage was recorded to enterprises, infrastructure, apartment and private buildings, and outbuildings.
As a result of shelling in Nikopol, a two-storey residential building caught fire. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire caused by a shell hit. Emergency services are working at the scene.
Shelling of Kryvyi Rih
In Kryvyi Rih, Russian shelling resulted in a man being wounded. Infrastructure and multi-storey residential buildings were damaged.
The local authorities are assessing the extent of the damage. All relevant services are involved in the response.
The situation in the Synelnyky district
The enemy attacked three communities in the Sinelnykivka district. A fire broke out in a residential area - the roof of a private house and an outbuilding caught fire. Local infrastructure was also damaged. Firefighters continue to work to eliminate the consequences of the attacks.
