The police, together with other law enforcement officers, conducted a series of searches in Kharkiv and the region, uncovering the underground production of tobacco products and the illegal sale of e-cigarettes.
Clandestine tobacco workshops shut down in Kharkiv region
Law enforcement officers conducted a large-scale special operation against the illegal tobacco business in Kharkiv and the region. During the searches, they found a tobacco production facility that was operating almost continuously. The counterfeit was manufactured on an industrial scale and distributed throughout the country through postal services.

Illegal sale of electronic cigarettes
The police also documented the activities of the persons who organised illegal sale of electronic cigarettes and liquids through retail outlets and telegram channels in Kharkiv and the region. The counterfeit products were sold without any licences or permits.
As part of this case, about 35,000 units of illegal products worth almost UAH 15 million were seized. Investigators have already served ten suspects a notice of suspicion. All material evidence has been sent for examination.
