Units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces struck a series of important targets of the Russian occupiers in different regions. These included an oil terminal in Krasnodar Krai, ammunition depots in Crimea and Luhansk Oblast, and military bases in Russia.
Basic context
General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the destruction of a number of important enemy targets on 23 May and on the night of 24 May 2026. Among them is the oil loading berth of the Tamaneftegaz oil terminal in Volna, Krasnodar Territory. According to preliminary data, the oil loading stand, which is an important element of the infrastructure, was damaged.
The Tamaneftegaz terminal is one of Russia's key oil export facilities in the Black Sea region. Its capacity allows it to transship up to 20 million tonnes of oil and oil products annually. The facility is also used to supply the army of the aggressor state.
Destruction of warehouses and control points
The Ukrainian defence forces also hit an ammunition depot in Mizhhirya, on the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In addition, an enemy logistics depot, an ammunition depot and a fuel and lubricants depot were hit near Bilolutsk, Luhansk region.
Important goals were drone control points near Borysivka (Belgorod region), Voskresenka (Donetsk region) and Tiotkino (Kursk region). They also hit a concentration of enemy forces near Volfinsky, Kursk region.
Impressions of naval facilities
On 23 May, at the naval base “Novorossiysk” in the Krasnodar Territory, a Pytlyvyi patrol ship and a hovercraft missile boat were hit. The extent of the damage to these ships is being clarified, but their disabling could weaken the combat potential of the aggressor's fleet.
The Ukrainian Defence Forces emphasised the continuation of systematic measures to stop the armed aggression against Ukraine. The destruction of such strategic facilities could affect the enemy's logistics, supply and combat capabilities, which is part of Ukraine's broader defence strategy.
