President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports a large-scale missile attack on Kyiv involving more than 90 missiles and 600 drones. According to him, at least 83 people were injured, and there are dead. Rescue services are working to help the wounded.

In total, there were about 90 missiles of various types, including 36 ballistic missiles, as well as up to 600 drones. The Ukrainian defence forces were unable to shoot down all the ballistic missiles, which resulted in a significant number of missiles hitting residential buildings and infrastructure.

The President stressed that Kyiv was the main target of the attack, where the greatest destruction was caused. At least 83 people were injured in the strikes, and there are fatalities. Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and thanked the rescuers and all those working on the ground to help the victims.

Attack details and consequences

According to Zelenskyy, three Russian missiles hit a water supply facility, which is critical infrastructure for the city. In addition, part of the market was destroyed, dozens of residential buildings and several schools were damaged. He also noted that Russia used a «Oreshnik» against the Bila Tserkva.

The President assessed the actions of the aggressor as inadequate and stressed the need for Russia to suffer consequences for these attacks. He called on the international community - the United States, Europe and other partners - not to remain silent and to strengthen support for Ukraine to establish peace.
