In the Boryspil district of the Kyiv region, a man and a woman were killed and nine other people were injured as a result of ballistic shelling of the capital region. This was reported by the Kyiv regional police on 22 August. The strike also damaged dozens of vehicles, a car park and a petrol station; three lorries were destroyed.

As a result of the attack, 30 lorries and 10 cars were damaged, as were a car park and a petrol station. The police also confirmed that three lorries had been destroyed.
Law enforcement officers are inspecting the sites of the destruction, documenting the consequences of the Russian attack and gathering evidence of war crimes against the civilian population. Investigators will initiate criminal proceedings in respect of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
