The attempted assassination of Vadim Yermolaev
An assassination attempt on a businessman is believed to have taken place in Monaco Vadim Yermolaev, a well-known Ukrainian businessman who was listed among the 100 richest people in Ukraine. According to preliminary reports, the three victims – including parents aged around 50 and a 13-year-old teenager – held both Ukrainian and Russian citizenship.
According to information provided by Le Figaro, the parents are in a life-threatening emergency, whilst the teenager is in a relatively stable condition. This situation has caused concern amongst the Ukrainian community and business circles, as Vadym Yermolayev is the founder of the Alef group of companies, which has carried out numerous projects in Dnipro, such as «Most-City», Cascade Plaza and «Bosphorus».
Vadym Yermolayev attempted to challenge the sanctions imposed on him in court. This move could have serious consequences not only for his business, but also for his family, which has already suffered great losses.
