The situation in Sumy following the attack
Russian troops have launched yet another strike on the infrastructure of the city of Sumy. As a result of the attack, several hits on urban infrastructure facilities have been recorded. Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were on the ground.
Rescue workers at the impact sites
According to the State Emergency Service, following the enemy attack, rescue workers quickly arrived at the sites of the strikes, where they extinguished the fires and surveyed the area. Details regarding the damage to civilian infrastructure are currently being verified.
According to preliminary reports, there were no fatalities or injuries as a result of the attack. Experts are continuing to work at the sites of the strikes, whilst the relevant services are assessing the consequences of the shelling.
Regular attacks on Sumy
In recent weeks, Sumy has repeatedly been the target of Russian attacks. Residential areas, transport and other civilian infrastructure have come under fire, resulting in destruction and casualties amongst the civilian population.
