Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the UK has provided, and continues to provide, aid to Ukraine totalling over 25 billion pounds, according to Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the UK. This cooperation includes strengthening air defence, defence technologies, unmanned and robotic systems, as well as training for the Ukrainian military.

Air defence support includes missiles and anti-drone systems
According to Zaluzhny, The UK is helping to strengthen Ukraine’s air defences by providing air defence systems and missiles, as well as automated guns for intercepting drones.
The British Government estimates the total liabilities in respect of support for Ukraine 25 billion pounds. This estimate includes military and non-military aid, as well as the export finance limit for reconstruction and defence projects.
Joint production, drones and military training
Ukraine and the United Kingdom are setting up joint technology production facilities and collaborating in the field of drones and robotic systems. In March, the British and Ukrainian space agencies also signed a memorandum on the development of civil and commercial space cooperation.
The ambassador added that 63,000 Ukrainian military personnel had undergone training in the UK. The British training programme has moved on to specialised courses in aviation, medicine, engineering and logistics.
