A Russian attack on the night of 19 September destroyed one of the Suziria Group’s warehouses in the Kyiv region, covering an area of over 8,000 square metres. The group includes the MasterZoo chain of pet shops. Employees were in shelters at the time of the strike — there were no casualties.

A Russian attack destroyed the Suziria Group’s warehouse
On the night of Friday 19 September, a large Suziria Group warehouse complex in the Kyiv region was hit during a Russian attack.
The Retail Association of Ukraine reports that one of the group’s warehouses, with an area of over 8,000 square metres. At the same time, in its first official statement, Suziria Group itself described the consequences more cautiously — as damage to the warehouse — and noted that the full extent of the damage would become clear once the emergency services had completed their work.
At the time of the attack, the workers on shift were taking shelter. According to the company, none of the staff were injured. As of this morning, the fire was still burning at the site, and emergency services were continuing to bring it under control.
The warehouse was used to store pet products
The damaged premises were used to store pet products, including goods from the following brands Royal Canin, Whiskas, Brit, Club 4 Paws and Savory.
Suziria Group comprises Suziria Brands, Suziria Distribution and the MasterZoo chain of pet shops. The company is involved in the manufacture, import, distribution and retail sale of pet products.
The group’s portfolio of own brands also includes Savory, Half&Half, Special One, Pet Fashion, Buddy Boo, Priroda, ProVET and other brands.
The company was preparing for risks in logistics
Suziria Group has stated that over the past few weeks it has already been strengthening its logistics system to make its operations more resilient. The company plans to resume operations as soon as possible and has promised to inform its partners of the next steps once it has fully assessed the impact of the attack.
Suziria Distribution had previously reported that its logistics network comprises warehouses in the Kyiv and Lviv regions and in Kharkiv. Through this system, the company supplies products to thousands of retail outlets across Ukraine.
At the time of publication, Suziria Group did not provide any specific dates for potential disruptions or a list of goods that might be out of stock at MasterZoo shops.
Nine civilian facilities have been damaged in the Kyiv region
The attack was part of Russia’s long-running attacks on the Kyiv region. According to the Kyiv Regional State Administration, air raid alerts in the region have been virtually non-stop over the past 24 hours.
Damage has been caused in four districts of the region nine civilian facilities. These include five warehouses, as well as production and garage buildings, vehicles and a residential building.
In the Bucha district, firefighters continued to extinguish a fire in a warehouse building within an office and logistics complex on the morning of 19 September. Due to repeated air raid alerts and the threat of further strikes, operations had to be suspended from time to time.
