McDonald’s is switching to a reduced menu

У McDonald's Ukraine has reported that, due to damage to a logistics partner’s warehouse, the chain has been forced to temporarily switch to a reduced menu in all restaurants across the country. The company has not provided a precise list of the items that will be unavailable. The range may vary depending on the stock at individual restaurants and supply availability.

You can check the current menu in-store, on the McDonald’s app or via delivery services. The company has emphasised that its teams are working to stabilise supplies as quickly as possible and restore the usual range of products.

A McDonald’s warehouse in the Kyiv region was attacked twice

Logistics problems arose after Russian attack 25 September. In the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, drones The food warehouse was attacked twice, which was used by McDonald’s’ logistics partner.

The first strike took place at night, followed by a second one during the day. Following the second attack, a major fire broke out at the site. The storage facilities, cold stores and foodstuffs were destroyed. No one was injured. Immediately after the attack, McDonald’s stated that its restaurants were continuing to operate as normal and that the company was assessing the potential impact of the incident on its operations. The consequences of the attack have now affected the availability of parts of the menu.

There have been supply issues in the past as well

This is not the first time in September that McDonald’s has had to adjust its menu due to the war. Earlier this month, the company reported that certain items were temporarily unavailable due to frequent and prolonged air raid alerts, which were delaying deliveries to its restaurants.

On 10 September, some outlets had already begun to offer a reduced menu in order to ensure a steady supply of the most popular dishes. Following the destruction of the warehouse in the Kyiv region, the restrictions now apply to the entire chain across Ukraine. It is not yet known when McDonald’s will fully restore its standard menu.
