Czechs raise funds for two Flamingo missiles for the Ukrainian Armed Forces - «Gift for Putin» initiative«
Volunteers of the initiative «A gift for Putin» (Dárek pro putina) reported that the funds raised by Czech citizens and organisations will allow purchase two Flamingo missiles« instead of one.
Ukrainian company Fire Point, which produces these missiles, has announced a decision double the contributions to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
How the funds raised will be distributed
The organisers stated that balance from the first wave of collection - CZK 3.5 million - will be directed to Other needs of the Ukrainian military, including the purchase of machinery and equipment for the frontline.
«We are grateful to everyone who joined in. Together, we are helping Ukraine to defend itself more effectively,» said the initiative's volunteers.
Context.
Campaign Dárek pro Putina has been operating since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion and has repeatedly financed the purchase of military equipment, drones, ammunition and vehicles for Ukrainian units.
The project enjoys wide support among Czech citizens and businesses alike, and actively cooperates with Ukrainian defence manufacturers.
