Britain supports Ukrainian rescue workers

The ninth humanitarian convoy from the UK, comprising 169 fire and rescue vehicles, has set off for Ukraine. This initiative forms part of the UK’s largest international project to support emergency services.

«This is not just about supplying equipment. It is about protecting Ukrainian cities, civilians and rescue workers, who are targeted by Russian attacks every day,» Zaluzhny emphasised.

As part of this project, in addition to specialised vehicles, Ukraine has received over 250,000 items of equipment. The aid encompasses not only equipment but also support for Ukrainian rescue workers and their families. Zaluzhny noted that this is an example of genuine international solidarity.

The project is being implemented in partnership with the British Government, the FIRE AID UK charity and the fire and rescue services of England and Wales. This demonstrates that the international community is ready to support Ukraine in difficult times.
