In the podcast The Bulwark a journalist for The Insider Michael Weiss and a former CIA employee Mark Polimeropoulos expressed the view that Budanov’s current position in the President’s Office enables him to exert direct influence on future political decisions.
“It is important that Budanov has had long-standing contacts with American partners,” said Weiss, highlighting his role during visits by Ukrainian delegations to the US.
