After meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Donald Trump emphasised the improvement in relations between them. “We have an excellent relationship with Zelenskyy, although that was hard to believe. Trump highlighted the significant losses suffered by the Russian army, stating that around 25,000 Russian soldiers had been killed last month, and 35,000 the month before. He expressed the view that strikes on Russian territory could help bring the war to an end, although he described this as an “escalation”.
