Ukraine has completed the development of its first guided aerial bomb (GAB) with a 250kg warhead. The Ministry of Defence has already purchased an experimental batch, and pilots are practicing combat scenarios.

The Ministry of Defence has already purchased the first experimental batch of the new weapon. Currently, pilots are practicing combat scenarios and adapting the use of the CAB to real-world conditions to achieve maximum effectiveness during combat operations.
Production and testing
The creation of the Ukrainian CAB was a response to the urgent needs of the frontline. According to the Minister of Defence, the development process lasted almost a year and a half. At this stage, special attention is being paid to testing and practicing the tactics of using the new weapon by Ukrainian pilots.
It is known that the warhead of the bomb weighs 250 kg, which allows to expand the range of tasks that the Air Force can perform. The introduction of the KAB into combat practice should increase the accuracy of target destruction and reduce the risks to aircraft crews.
