Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have struck the «Epicentre» shopping centre in Mykolaiv six times, resulting in its destruction. According to the company’s press office, ten of its employees spent almost a day battling the fire, but were unable to save the building. There were 520 people working at the shopping centre.

How the staff tried to save the building
According to «Epicentre», staff climbed onto the roof and entered the building, which was engulfed in flames. They sealed off damaged pipes, rescued equipment and extinguished four fires in succession.
During the attack, the crew took cover from Russian Shahed drones, before resuming their firefighting efforts. The company stated that the team had come close to saving the shopping centre, but were ultimately unable to do so.
