Due to problems with bridges in Kyiv, 18 additional commuter train services have been added

In Kyiv, 18 additional Kyiv City Express services have been scheduled between Vydubychi and Darnytsia from 5 to 9 October due to traffic congestion on the road bridges. Nine shuttles will run in each direction, mainly during the morning and evening rush hours. All services will make a stop at Bereznyaky.

Timetable for additional shuttle services between Vydubychi and Darnytsia

Four morning services have been added on the route to Darnytsia: at 05:56, 06:47, 07:38 and 08:26. They will arrive at 06:06, 06:57, 07:48 and 08:36 respectively.

In the evening, the shuttle buses will depart from Vydubychi at 16:07, 17:07, 18:25, 19:25 and 20:25. The journey will take around ten minutes. Passengers will board and alight at Vydubychi on platform three.

From Darnytsia, additional trains will depart in the morning at 06:16, 07:08, 07:58 and 08:58. Evening services are scheduled for 16:28, 17:35, 18:55, 19:55 and 20:55. At Darnytsia station, shuttle trains may arrive on either platform one or two, so passengers are advised to check the announcements at the station.

The Bereznyaki stop and other options for travelling between the two banks

All additional shuttle services will stop at Bereznyaky. Suburban and regional trains to or from Nizhyn, Hrebinka, Konotop and Slavutych will also stop at Vydubychi and Darnytsia, whilst suburban services will also stop at Bereznyaky. Together with the regular Kyiv City Express trains and other rail services, up to six trains will run between the right and left banks during peak hours.

The additional timetable was introduced against a backdrop of disrupted transport links across the Dnipro following Russian attacks and restrictions on bridges in the capital. From 4 October, the land section of the Green Line metro It is once again operating between the two banks under the yellow alert level. Under the red alert level, trains will run separately on the «Syrets – Vydubychi» and «Osokorky – Chervonyi Khutir» sections. Passengers are advised to check the latest timetable and announcements at stations before travelling.
