The draft Programme for the Economic and Social Development of Kyiv for 2027–2029 provides for the construction of the «Mostytska» and «Varshavska» metro stations. These are set to form part of the extension of the Syretsko-Pecherska (or ‘green’) line towards Vynohradar.

The programme provides for the construction, not the opening date
The planned metro section is the first phase of the line’s extension and stretches 3.7 km to «Varshavska». The wording of the draft programme refers to construction; the city authorities have not announced a specific timetable for the opening of these stations to passengers.

Construction work is already underway in the Podilskyi district
Between January and March 2026, work on extending the Green Line was carried out at five construction sites in the Podilskyi district. Double-deck monolithic tunnels are being built between the two future stations.
The Kyiv City Council approved the name «Varshavska» in May 2023, renaming the station previously known as «Prospekt Pravdy». Consequently, the previous name may still appear in some older technical documentation.
