The Pension Fund of Ukraine has released details of one-off cash payments for the Independence Day of 2026. According to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution 602, different categories of citizens will receive the payments, and the amounts will be different for each group. The Lviv Regional State Administration reported that the benefits will be accrued by 24 August, and the amount of payments will range from UAH 450 to UAH 3,100, depending on the status of the recipient.
Who is entitled to Independence Day payments
The Pension Fund of Ukraine provided clarification on the one-off cash payments to be made on Independence Day this year. The largest amount of UAH 3,100 will be paid to people who have rendered special services to the country. The same amount is provided for people with war-related disabilities and former juvenile prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of detention if they have a group I disability.
For people with disabilities of group II, the payment will be UAH 2,900, and for group III - UAH 2,700. Combatants, injured participants of the Revolution of Dignity, former minor prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of detention, as well as children born in these places during their parents' stay there, will receive UAH 1,000 each.
Amounts for family members of the deceased and other categories
Family members of deceased war veterans, family members of deceased Defenders of Ukraine, wives and husbands of deceased persons with disabilities as a result of war who did not remarry, as well as wives and husbands of deceased combatants, war veterans and victims of Nazi persecution who were recognised as persons with disabilities during their lifetime and did not remarry, are entitled to a one-time payment of UAH 650.
Benefits for war veterans and former prisoners
War veterans and former prisoners concentration camps, ghettos, and other places of forced detention, persons who were forcibly taken to forced labour, as well as children of partisans, underground fighters and other participants in the fight against the National Socialist regime behind enemy lines will receive 450 hryvnias each.
Terms and procedure of payments
