Grenade attack during a document check
In Kam’yanske, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, a man threw a grenade at staff of the Territorial Centre for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRS) and police officers whilst they were checking his documents. The incident was reported by the National Police.
According to preliminary reports, the explosion occurred whilst law enforcement officers and representatives of the TCC were speaking to the man. Three people were injured: the attacker himself, a police officer and an official TCC. All those affected are receiving the necessary medical care; details of their condition are currently being ascertained.
The police are investigating the circumstances
Investigative and operational teams are working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are establishing the motives behind the attack, the origin of the explosive device and all the circumstances of the incident. A criminal investigation is expected to be opened under the relevant sections of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
