Since 17 April, the police of Ukraine have been working in an enhanced mode. The main focus of law enforcement will be on security near cemeteries and on the roads in connection with the memorial days.

Police switch to enhanced mode

Deputy Head of the Department of Preventive Activities of the National Police Anatolii Seredynskyi said that from today, the police are switching to an enhanced mode of service. This decision was made in connection with the expected increase in the number of people near cemeteries during the memorial days.

Law enforcement officials stress that such measures are aimed at ensuring public safety and preventing emergencies in crowded places.

Focus on safety near cemeteries

Police will pay special attention to areas near cemeteries, where many visitors traditionally gather. The National Police stated that this is due to the risks associated with mine danger and possible explosive devices.

In this regard, citizens are urged to be careful and follow the instructions of law enforcement officers when visiting cemeteries.

Additional measures on motorways

In addition to controlling cemeteries, police are stepping up patrols on the roads. This is to help avoid road accidents and ensure safe traffic in the face of increased traffic.

The police urge drivers to observe traffic rules and be careful on the roads, especially in crowded areas.

Reasons for the tightening of the regime

The National Police explains that the decision to increase security measures is due to the large crowds of people during the memorial days. In addition, the risks associated with mine danger and possible explosive devices are taken into account. The measures are preventive in nature and aimed at preserving the lives and health of citizens.
