In Bolekhiv, the fire spread due to strong winds
On 9 October in Bolekhiv, a man was burning plant debris in his garden, according to the State Emergency Service. Due to strong gusts of wind, the flames quickly began to spread, and as the man was unable to put out the fire on his own, he called the emergency services.
According to SES, an administrative report was drawn up against him. The unauthorised burning of vegetation or its remains is covered by Article 77-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences; there is no information regarding the final decision or the possible amount of the fine in this case.
