The details of the reform of territorial recruitment centres (TRCs) have become known. The changes provide for the cancellation of search and reservation for most citizens, except for defence personnel.
TCC reform: removal of the search and reservation order
Journalist Ekaterina Zabelina reported on the main directions of the TCC reform. According to her, it is proposed to abolish both the search and reservation for the majority of the population.
Only those who work at defence enterprises may be exempt. This should simplify mobilisation procedures and make them more transparent.
Only defence companies are under reservation
The idea of leaving booking only for the defence sector is currently being discussed. Zabelina notes that both experts and the public are sceptical about this initiative.
The final decision has not yet been made, but most other categories of employees may lose the right to book.
Age and profession: new criteria for mobilisation
According to the plans, the TCC plans to focus on recruiting young people aged 25 and over. It will also consider candidates with the relevant specialisation required by the Armed Forces.
This should increase the effectiveness of mobilisation and meet modern defence needs.
