Ukraine has reached the maximum pace of road infrastructure restoration. Since the beginning of 2026, more than 5.7 million m² of pavement have been restored, which is more than the volume of the entire last year.
Road rehabilitation exceeds 2025 targets
According to the road services, since the beginning of 2026, more than 5.7 million m² of road surface has been restored on international and national roads in Ukraine. This is half of the annual plan and more than was done in all of 2025.
Over the past 24 hours alone, damage has been repaired over an area of almost 240,000 m². The work is being carried out at the highest possible level to ensure basic traffic and logistics between the country's regions.
Works on key transport routes
The main repair works are focused on the Kyiv-Chop, Kyiv-Kovel-Yahodyn, Kyiv-Odesa and Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhanskyi highways. These routes are strategically important for connecting regions and ensuring logistics.
There are currently 200 repair teams working on the roads. The repairs are aimed at supporting the country's transport infrastructure and economic stability.
Positive dynamics by region
High recovery rates are recorded in Khmelnytsky, Kyiv and Kherson regions. Repair crews are working steadily in Cherkasy, Ternopil, Rivne and Sumy regions.
According to representatives of road services, a clear positive trend is observed in most regions, which allows us to expect the annual plan to be implemented on time.
