Ukrainians are receiving mass emails that visually copy the style of the National Bank's messages. The emails contain a call to follow a link and download an archive that may contain malware.
How the scam works
Attackers send out emails from various addresses, formatted in the style of official correspondence of the National Bank of Ukraine. The text contains a request to follow a link and download an archive with a so-called «list of documents». In reality, this archive may contain viruses or identity theft software.
How to protect yourself and your loved ones
Experts strongly advise not to open attachments or follow any links from suspicious emails. If you receive such a message, warn your family and friends to avoid possible financial losses and personal information leakage.
