A Russian «Shahed»-type drone struck a passenger train travelling on the Odessa–Dnipro route. Members of the locomotive crew were killed in the attack, according to local media reports. Footage released shows the locomotive cab engulfed in flames. Following the strike, passengers were urgently evacuated from the carriages to a safe distance.

A drone struck the locomotive of a passenger train. Following the impact, a major fire broke out in the driver’s cab, and the front section of the locomotive was damaged.
According to local media reports, there have been fatalities among the train drivers as a result of the attack. The exact number of fatalities has not yet been disclosed.
All 340 passengers were evacuated
There were 340 passengers on board the train. All the passengers were safely evacuated from the train following the attack.
According to preliminary reports, there are no injuries or fatalities among the passengers. Nor have there been any reports of those evacuated seeking medical assistance.
Once everyone had been evacuated to a safe distance, work began on extinguishing the fire and inspecting the damaged locomotive.
