Who will receive the money automatically and how to apply
The Pension Fund has announced that pensioners who receive a monthly lifetime cash allowance, housing subsidies or concessions on utility bills, who are not serving in the armed forces, will have the benefit paid in August alongside their regular payment.
For serving veterans, the Pension Fund of Ukraine transfers funds to the accounts of military units, institutions or organisations. The Fund advises checking whether the military unit or employer has details of the individual’s veteran status.
Individuals who are entitled to benefits but are not pensioners, recipients of subsidies or benefits, and are not in service should apply to their local Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) office. Applications may be submitted at the Fund’s service centre or a Centre for Administrative Services, by post, or via the Pension Fund’s web portal using a qualified electronic signature. The required documents include proof of identity and status, a tax registration number (if available) and bank details.
People who acquire the necessary status by 24 August, but who have not received the funds by 1 October, may contact the Pension Fund. In such cases, the payment can be claimed until 1 November 2026. The amounts of the one-off benefit for the main categories in 2026 have remained at last year’s nominal level.
