Yermak's lawyer responds to UAH 460 million case

The defence calls the suspicion unfounded and denies Yermak's connection to the Mindich tapes.

Ihor Fomin, the lawyer of the former head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, categorically denied the allegations that his client was involved in the case of legalisation of UAH 460 million. According to the defence lawyer, the suspicion has no grounds, and its delivery came as a surprise to Yermak's side.

Defence position on suspicion

Lawyer Igor Fomin said that the suspicion served on his client in the case of legalisation of UAH 460 million at a construction site near Kyiv was unfounded. How reports Ukrainian Pravda, Fomin stressed that he sees no grounds for charges against Andriy Yermak and denies his involvement in any schemes.

According to the defence counsel, the serving of the notice of suspicion came as a surprise to Yermak's side. Fomin stressed that the defence plans to continue to provide a legal assessment of the actions in this case and defend the position of his client in the legal field.

Reaction to the Mindich tapes«

Separately, the lawyer commented on the information about the so-called «Mindich films», which, according to the investigation, may be related to the case. Fomin categorically denied any connection between Yermak and these recordings and noted that he did not understand what kind of materials they were referring to. Thus, the defence completely rejects the possibility of Yermak's involvement in the published audio recordings.

The defence of the former head of the Presidential Office emphasises that the suspicion is groundless and declares its intention to appeal against it in accordance with the established procedure. Fomin stressed that all actions of law enforcement agencies will be carefully analysed, and the legal team is preparing appropriate steps to protect the interests of their client.

Yermak's name is among the suspects in the case of legalisation of UAH 460 million at an elite construction site near Kyiv, which is being investigated by law enforcement. However, his lawyer is convinced that there is no evidence of Yermak's involvement in the scheme.
